CILO opened: LogiVille strengthens its role as a demonstration hub with circular innovations
LogiVille, VIL’s open innovation and demonstration centre, proudly welcomes a remarkable new addition: CILO – Circular Logistics, the very first interactive immersive room in Flanders fully dedicated to circular supply chains. The festive launch, attended by more than 150 business leaders and Minister-President Matthias Diependaele, highlighted the growing interest in circular innovations.
Expanding LogiVille’s offering
With CILO, VIL takes a major step forward in further developing its demonstration hub for logistics innovation. Visitors can now experience the shift from linear to circular supply chains in an interactive way: from use to reuse, from dismantling to value recovery.
What often remained abstract has now been made tangible at LogiVille. Thanks to CILO, companies, organisations and knowledge institutions can see and experience for themselves how circular supply chains already operate today – and how they represent both a sustainable and profitable business model.
Flanders as a pioneer
During the official opening, Minister-President Matthias Diependaele underlined the importance of circular logistics for Flanders:
“Flanders is today a European frontrunner in the circular economy. Thanks to innovative policies and strong collaborations, we are successfully reducing our material footprint while safeguarding our resources. CILO does not only make circular logistics tangible; this immersive experience also demonstrates how our region, as Europe’s logistics hub, is shaping the transition towards an innovative and competitive economic model,” said the Minister-President.
