Logistics Roadtrip – Renewi

Exclusive company visit for VIL members.

The Logistics Roadtrip begins with a keynote speech by Koen Van Hulle, CEO of we.repair. He will explain how the company is committed to repairing household appliances. During this presentation, you will discover how repairs extend the lifespan of electrical appliances and thus contribute to a circular economy.

This will be followed by a guided tour of LogiVille, VIL’s logistics demonstration centre. Here, you will be introduced to the latest supply chain innovations and technologies.

Recycling up close

After lunch, the group will head to Renewi’s sorting and processing site. This leading player converts waste streams into valuable raw materials, giving them a new lease of life.

During the site visit, you’ll discover the entire processing chain, from sorting and processing to preparation for recycling. You’ll also be treated to a unique demonstration of the destruction of a consignment of goods – an activity that is rarely seen at close quarters.
